In The Warmth of Other Suns, Isabel Wilkerson draws on ten years of research to tell the remarkable story of America’s Great Migration as over six million black people migrated North from 1915-1970. This book documents the racial terror that reigned in the Jim Crow South which drove them to make the perilous journey, risking their lives and livelihoods in the process.
