What to expect -- this will be a short, contemplative space at the end of the day, lasting 20-25 minutes..  With words and images and sounds, we will invite ourselves to a place of interior quiet and reflection. 

Elements include:

a psalm

a night-time story from Scripture and silent reflection on it (no sermon or commentary)

prayers, for ourselves and for others, spoken aloud and in silence, 

short musical responses that you might sing along with or simply listen to 

Preparing your worship space-- 

For Wednesdays, consider bringing a candle into your immediate area, and dimming the lights if possible. 

For Wednesdays and Sunday, consider bringing an object from the natural world, perhaps something small enough to hold, that connects you with the mystery of God.  It might be anything that speaks to you of wonder -- a leaf, a feather, a seed pod, a rock, etc.
